A NOTE FROM CPAANT
The purpose of CPAANT is to enhance the relationship between the Citizen Police Academy
Alumni Associations and their respective police departments. The Citizen Police Academy Alumni of North Texas is comprised
of volunteers who are dedicated to community involvement and helping to make their city and the north Texas region a better,
safer place to live.
In September 1995, representatives
from 15 CPAAA organizations met at the Dallas police academy. The meeting was hosted by the Dallas CPAAA and the Duncanville
CPAAA. The purpose was to form a north Texas regional CPAAA group. At the second meeting, hosted by the Arlington
CPAAA, Citizen Police Academy Alumni of North Texas was formed including an executive board, directors and by-laws.
CPAANT is a 501C3 organization and we are in good standing with the IRS and the Texas
state comptrollers office. This information can be easily verified by going to the IRS website and searching
the "IRS AUTOMATIC REVOCATION OF EXEMPTION LIST" CPAANT is also in good standing
with local police departments in the north Texas region for over 20 years.
